Das Triptychon „Apokalypse“ ist ein programmatisches, illustratives Werk, das wie ein aus der kirchlichen Kunst stammendes Dreierbild von links nach rechts lesbar ist. Die einzelnen Bildthemen sind Vergangenheit – Gegenwart – Zukunft, sie nehmen die Grundthemen der Apokalypse auf. Von links erahnt man die prophetische Ankündigung dessen, was passieren wird: die Welt ist  aus den Fugen geraten. Die nebulöse Form zieht sich in das Mittelbild des Triptychon hin: Hier ist in starker Aufsicht ein klassisches Kruzifix. Der wiederkehrende Christus allerdings ist nicht am Kreuz, sondern an einem hereinragenden Schiffsrumpf eines „timeships“ befestigt. Eine neue Gallionsfigur, die in die Zukunft weist. Nämlich rechts in der Andeutung des „neuen Jerusalems“.

The Triptychon ‘Apocalypse’ is a programmatic, illustrative work that is readable from left to right like the three pieces pictures as known from ecclesiastical art. The single topics are ‘past’ – ‘present’ – ‘future’. They pick up the three basic subjects of the apocalypse. From the left painting one can surmise the prophetic announcement of what is going to happen: the world is out of joint. The nebulous form is dragging on to the center picture of the Triptychon: here is a classical crucifix. However, the returning Christ is not attached on the cross but on a hull, a ‘timeship’. On the right side is a new figurehead that shows the way to the future – the indication of the ‘new Jerusalem’.
